IIUM GSM SOCIAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMME 1.0

On 22 August 2026, in collaboration with MBA students, we organised the GSM Community Engagement Programme 1.0, a community-focused initiative designed to promote financial literacy among Form 4 students from Maahad Tahfiz Integrasi Sains Madinatul Huffaz through engaging and interactive learning experiences. The programme featured a combination of interactive activities and sharing sessions, providing students with an opportunity to gain practical knowledge about financial management and business in an engaging and accessible way. A key highlight of the programme was the six interactive game stations, each designed around different financial and business-related themes. The stations covered topics such as financial management, branding, business ideas and pitching, stocks and economics, allowing students to explore these concepts through hands-on activities while developing their critical thinking and decision-making skills. The programme provided a valuable opportunity for GSM students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while strengthening their communication, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills. Thank you Maahad Tahfiz Integrasi Sains Madinatul Huffaz management team and all committee for making the event a success.

IIUM GSM supports GLOW 1.0 in Empowering Community Well-being

The IIUM Graduate School of Management (IIUM GSM) is proud to support the Good Living Through Overall Wellness (GLOW) 1.0 programme, organised by the Titian Asli Club (TAC IIUM), as part of our continued commitment to meaningful community engagement and sustainable social impact. Held from 16 to 19 July 2026 at Kampung Lata Kinjang, Perak, the four-day programme brought together 44 organising committee members and approximately 249 participants with the shared goal of promoting healthier lifestyles, environmental hygiene, and stronger community relationships. The initiative also served as a platform to strengthen the longstanding bond between IIUM students and the Orang Asli community. Throughout the programme, participants engaged in a series of educational and interactive activities focusing on personal hygiene, food and environmental cleanliness, emotional well-being, creative learning, recycling, cultural appreciation, sports, and spiritual development. These modules were carefully designed to encourage practical learning while fostering teamwork, leadership, and mutual understanding between students and the local community. The programme’s objectives extended beyond short-term activities by promoting health awareness, strengthening social integration, developing leadership among student volunteers, and establishing sustainable relationships with the Orang Asli community for future outreach initiatives. As a sponsor, IIUM GSM is honoured to support initiatives that embody the University’s mission of nurturing responsible leaders who contribute positively to society. We believe that programmes such as GLOW 1.0 provide invaluable opportunities for students to translate knowledge into meaningful action while creating lasting benefits for the communities they serve. IIUM GSM commends the dedication of the organising committee and all volunteers whose commitment made GLOW 1.0 a meaningful and impactful programme. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote holistic well-being, community empowerment, and the spirit of collaboration in building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
